Terms and Conditions

Terms of Use

The basics

When you use technopolicy.net, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms take effect only as far as a valid agreement can exist under applicable law.

General information only

Technopolicy offers general information on topics such as Technology Policy, AI & Society, Privacy & Security and Digital Economy. Our coverage of regulation, rights and technology is commentary and explanation; it is not legal advice, and nothing here should be read as advice about compliance, litigation or any specific legal matter. Rules differ by jurisdiction and change quickly, so check current official texts. Articles can be outdated or incomplete, and we do not guarantee accuracy, availability or suitability for your situation.

Copyright and reuse

Text, graphics and layout on the site belong to the operator or are used with permission or another lawful basis. You may read the site and share links freely; copying, republishing or commercial reuse requires permission where the law requires it, leaving fair use and other statutory exceptions untouched.

Sending material

Send us only material you have the right to share, and leave out unnecessary confidential details. A message gives us permission to receive, review and respond; it does not grant publication rights to private correspondence unless you agree separately.

Third-party sites and advertising

The site may carry ads, sponsored content and affiliate links. A qualifying referral can earn the operator a commission, and any significant relationship will be disclosed alongside the content.

Other websites control their own content, availability and terms. Accounts, purchases and support are matters between you and that provider; linking does not make us a partner or responsible for them.

Respectful and lawful use

You agree not to use the site unlawfully, send spam or threats, or post deceptive material, spread malicious code, probe for unauthorized access or evade protections, or overload the site with automated requests.

Liability

Everything is offered on an “as is, as available” basis. We exclude warranties of uninterrupted or error-free access and fitness for a purpose only to the extent the law allows. Our liability for indirect or consequential loss is limited only where the law lets it be, leaving mandatory consumer rights and unwaivable remedies in place.

Final provisions

We may change or remove content and features, and update these terms. The revised version is posted here, with further notice or assent where the law requires it, and changes do not remove rights that have already accrued. If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest remains in force as far as lawful. Questions about these terms can go to [email protected].
