About Us

Herbert Chen joined the management team of Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark) in 2001. With his dedicated work for the first and best university science park in China during the last 15 years, Herbert played a very important role in the management team of the science park. Not only has he been in charge of daily operations of the TusPark, which included setting up and operating the management system, he also contributed a lot on creating and operating the science park’s comprehensive value-added service system.


Through great effort of Herbert and the management team, TusPark has now become the most renowned university science park in China, with more than 1000 international and local high-tech companies operating in Beijing and more then 10 subsidiary parks all over China.


As deputy Director, Herbert is in charge of foreign and branding affairs of the TusPark. He has visited many science parks all over the world i.e. Australia, USA, UK, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Israel, Korea, Indonesia, Spain, Demark, South Africa, Mongolia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. He receives thousands of visitors from all over the world every year in TusPark.


Herbert Chen is responsible for the TusPark’s receiving full membership of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) since 2004. Mr. Chen was Board Member (2006-2008) and President of the Asian Pacific Division of the IASP (2006-2008).
